I personally think that maturity should play a big role in the decision making, I got my son a prepaid tracfone when he was about 14, as it is a prepaid phone he knows that if the minutes gets wasted, he will have to buy more himself, the budgeting skills that teaches is invaluable.

I am a parent, teacher, counsellor, child development consultant and writer in the field of education. I am currently in the final satges of drafting a book on early childhood development which I believe will be used for training of caregivers.

You website is very practical and most useful to people like myself.

Great stuff

My 5 year old son Isaiah is, in my and my husbands opinion, a very strong candidate for ADHD. He started kindergarten yesterday and his behavior was pretty terrible. He doesn't follow directions, acts out aggressively to his teacher and peers (ran around the lunchroom and hit other kids with his lunchbox), and doesn't seem to want to do any kind of school work. This behavior does not surprise me but I desperately want to help him. He is only on his second day and his teacher called me just after lunch. His behavior did not improve through the day and actually worsened, he got a paddling(on his second day!). He doesn't like to color or practice holding a pencil. His brother and sister do not present these problems and they are 2 and 3 years old. My husband and I are committed to our children but we aren't sure what to do about these problems with Isaiah. Please help us to help our son. Do you have any suggestions.

Puberty starts younger and younger . . . Should we be doing something? Parenting Today Online Parenting Magazine – Parenting Tips – News – Articles Can I simply say what a aid to search out somebody who really is aware of what theyre speaking about on the internet. You positively know how you can bring a problem to light and make it important. More individuals need to read this and understand this aspect of the story. I cant consider youre not more in style since you undoubtedly have the gift. Regards, Teak Meubelen

why is it easier to look at others rather than ours? i could state something about my students (who are young learners), but for my own kids i need ways to go round and they challenge me with new things every day.
