Can be Used With or Without Medication
Total Focus is a multi-media program that provides what health professionals refer to as Evidence-based Treatment(based on scientific research).
Both the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) professional guidelines for best practice treatment of ADHD state that medication should be used in conjunction with psychological interventions for best over-all results.
The guidelines also state that for children with mild to moderate ADHD symptoms, it may be advisable to try psychological interventions first before adding medication.
“In a nutshell, I am most impressed with this program, which incorporates a wealth of extremely helpful information and programming, derived largely from evidence-based practice presented in an extremely user-friendly format for the families of children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).”Dr Stephen Hinshaw University of California, Berkely(See revue of Total Focus by Dr Stephen Hinshaw a researcher and noted expert on children with ADHD)

“In first grade, my daughter was having problems in school following the teacher, paying attention and sitting still. I was getting complaints from the teacher about these issues. She was diagnosed with mild ADD. That’s when I began to use Dr. Myers’ program, Total Focus. When her teacher used the program with her, it worked wonders. There was a big change in her behavior. I didn’t get the complaints from the teacher anymore. I also used it when she was in second grade. You could see a real difference in her report card. She went from having bad behavior to superior behavior. *Sylvia Guzman – Long Beach, CA
“My son is more focused this year. He’s gone from almost failing to an A/B student. He’s doing his homework. I don’t have to bug him five times. He’s doing it and turning it in. When he was in 5th grade, he was on the president’s honor roll. Then he slipped. Since The Total Focus, he’s back up there. And that’s a big change from where he was.” * – Jennifer Robb – Benton City, WA
